Ever wonder about the history of the nylon stocking? Well it’s all thanks to a chemist named Wallace Hume Carothers and the DuPont chemical company.
Nylon stockings were one of the first commercial products to be marketed from the fabric after it’s announcement in 1938.
So the next time you rub one out to a hot chick in nylons, remember the geek that made it all possible!
